EtaGen simplifies the solar sales process by bridging the gap between complex simulation tools and potential customers. It offers an intuitive platform that enables building owners to quickly visualize their property’s solar potential.
The frontend is built with React, leveraging Three.js for 3D model handling and visualization, MapBox for map integration and roof data, and Chart.js for data presentation.
On the backend, I developed algorithms using FastAPI to optimize panel placement, ensuring maximum space utilization while complying with local regulations. Simulated outcomes were benchmarked against real-world data for precision, and the software also provides detailed financial projections and return-on-investment calculations to assist in decision-making.
